IPAAW INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY

POSITION: Marketing & Development Intern 

DEPARTMENT: Development & Marketing

REPORTS TO: Marketing Chair 

STATUS: Unpaid Internship

HOURS/ DURATION: Spring and/or Fall Semester 2025 (~5 Months, ~5 Hours/Week) 

POSITION SUMMARY: Indianapolis Professionals Advocating for Animal Welfare (IPAAW) seeks a dynamic and innovative intern to join our team and assist with essential projects related to marketing, fundraising, donor relations, and internal operations. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in non-profit operations, marketing, and project management while contributing to impactful initiatives. 

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Assist with managing social media platforms, and creating engaging content to promote IPAAW on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn

• Monitor and analyze the performance

• Work with the Marketing Chair on designing and executing email campaigns

• Contribute to planning and logistics for Putts for Paws and Ales for Adoptable Tails. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program or have proof of expertise (e.g., Nonprofit Management, Marketing, Communications, Business, Graphic Design, etc.).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content 

• Creative mindset and a passion for making a difference

• Knowledge of Canva and MailChimp platforms.

• Ability to travel locally as needed and participate in IPAAW meetings.

• Demonstrate strong work ethics and moral standards. 

• Must be dependable.
